Self Evaluation:
I have successfully finished my persuasive speech presentation. However, my speech contained both strengths and weaknesses that I had to go over. First of all, one of my strongest strength of my speech was topic. As a student, I thought about the biggest issue among the students. Therefore, I came up with an interesting and unique issue applicable to the students in KIS. Moreover, I provided sufficient and convincing evidences to persuade the audience. For instance, I specifically interviewed a high school student to support my thesis stronger. I’ve also used facts from research to show the seriousness of the issue. Also, I spoke with a loud and clear voice and kept constant eye contact with the audience. On the podium, I showed my enthusiasm and passion towards my speech to persuade the audience.
Although I have effectively finished my speech, yet, there were several factors that needed improvements. Since it was my first persuasive speech, I was extremely nervous and afraid. I have stumbled and repeated some words that may have ruined my organization. Moreover, I must sound more confident in order to make my speech more interesting. This factor leads to tone of my voice. I must work on using different voices when it comes to emotional and logical aspects. Lastly, I need to work on using gestures during my speech to emphasize the important points. Overall, I succeeded in persuading the audience of promoting the four days school, but I just need to work on speaking confidently without any mistakes.
